Coach Trish Gonzales Leads Manteca Rangers United U11 Girls to Their Second State Cup Victory!!

2013 Girls Manteca Rangers Our very own 2013 Manteca Rangers have brought home their second victory in a row in the Calnorth State Cup lead by our DOC and Coach, Trish Gonzales.

” “The girls were really focused trying to take each game at a time,” said Coach Trisha Gonzales. “We had kind of a slow start, but they did well and finished with a good win.”

The Manteca Rangers United 13G Gold were in competition with AC Marin Girls 2013 Black, Lamorinda SC United 2013G Pre-GA and Ajax United 13G Academy, who they played and beat in the Final in April.

Rangers started the tournament with a 2-0 win over AC Marin and faced Ajax United in their second game on Saturday. That game proved to be just as competitive as the U10 Cal North State Cup Final, finishing in a close 1-0 game in favor of Manteca Rangers.

“This is my third year going in with them, every year they’ve progressed,” said Gonzales. “Right now they’re probably ranked in the top 5 for their age group.”

The Manteca Rangers United 13G Gold finished their journey of back-2-back Cal North State Cup Champions with a dominant 4-1 win over Lamorinda Soccer Club.

Overall, Rangers scored seven goals and conceded only one during the tournament, going 3/3 and claiming glory for Manteca Area Soccer League.

Next year this team will be looking to win their third Cal North State Cup at the U12 Girls age group, which would grant them a spot at the 2025 US Youth Soccer Far West Regional Championships.” ~Article Written by Cal North
